Elizabeth Stone Gallery

Elizabeth Stone Gallery is a unique gallery which specializes in original art by children's book illustrators. The illustrators are internationally known and have received prestigious awards for their very collectible art work. The gallery also offers signed limited editions, prints, posters, children's books and book-related gifts.

In January 2003, after fifteen years in Birmingham, Michigan, Elizabeth Stone relocated her gallery to Alexandria, Virginia. She expanded her business to include Art for Children's Healing Initiative, LLC, which specializes in the placement of children's book illustration in children's hospitals, pediatric facilities, doctor's offices, clinics, major medical centers, and government and corporate collections. In addition, as an art consultant specializing in children's book illustrations, she delights in assisting and advising beginning collectors, as well as enhancing existing collections.

Gallery owner and Founder Elizabeth Stone has more than thirty years of experience with children's literature. For fifteen years, she was the librarian at Brookside School Cranbrook in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. It was during that time that she acquired her love and appreciation for children's book illustration. She acquired a permanent art collection for the school which has been enjoyed and appreciated by students and parents, as well as being used extensively by faculty in curriculum programs.
